After our usual discussion about where to go we were off to a local mark , main target was plaice a bit early we thought but we thought give it a go , I got there 30 minutes after bob to a busy beach and car park , bob was already set up in a gap big enough for us both , he was chating to another angler so I got myself set up and soon 2 rods with worm on were out , I walked down and spoke to bob no one had caught anything, as I was talking to bob my rod was bouncing so I went back and pulled in a fish and guess what it was a first cast plaice ideal for my spieces hunt .480E4FDB-EDD0-4741-A3B0-494E1B7F85E4.jpeg,I carried on with worm until dark then put big baits out for rays hopefully, but the usual fish were there dogs , but big dogs around 2/3lbs so ok , I also had a couple of whiting. It was an enjoyable evening.

Had to wait a bit longer for mine and he was a lot smaller too but still a point. There was a lot a rods out but didn't see a great deal a fish come out, just one other flattie next to me, managed one dogfish when dark, got bloody cold quick to in the very clear skies.

Well done boys! Great reports & photos, and another one each for the species hunting! Not surprised you got a bit cold after dark - the local weather report said the clear skies meant it would drop to 1 deg C or lower. ????

Well done both of you on getting your target species ?
