With the forecast for 18/20mph winds I looked for a mark out of the wind , after a bit of thinking I decided where to go with the wind behind me , I met Ben and off we went just a short drive , we set up using worm , squid , mackerel, pilchard ,prawns
We got there 2.30 hours before high , it wasn’t long before the first fish came a chunky pout , I had several of these to worm , I had prawn on the pulley with no bites so I changed this to mackerel then I got a bite straight away a whiting about a pound , I got about 6 in total , then the tide turned and boy it was taking our gear away with it , then another bite on a rig I put close in out of the tide as a last cast , it was a bass . So it was a busy night out of the wind so time for the long drive home , 15 minutes ideal
