I was billy no mates on Friday night so decided to get a few worms ( £15 lug +£10 rag ) should last me a few hours ?.
got to my mark about 17.30 after fighting the traffic, set up 2 rods with 2 hook rigs , first rod out rattle before it hit the bottom fish on , ?.
small pout ah well blank saved , so it continued all evening without a rest pout after pout after pout , no other spieces . Ran out of worms 21.30. 4 hours of non stop fishing in a freezing cold stiff easterly wind , just after 21.00 the wind really picked up so after a few more casts and the worms gone , time to go home .nice cold busy few hours .
no pictures I think we all know what a pout looks like .

Well done John! Kept you nice and busy and the local bait shop afloat!

Where abouts were you fishing?

You did very well to man it out, that easterly was biting and getting worse as the evening progressed. Funny the whiting haven’t shown up as well as last year.

The big whiting have been around for a few years now everything is late this year , maybe it’s something to do with the super trawlers scooping everything up

Well done John - blank avoided & at least the Pout kept you busy!

Was busy over the weekend with SWMBO around, so didn't get to check out the catch reports.
