In general would a 6500 size have the same say “lifting power” or basic strength as a 9500 size model or is the difference just spool capacity or would one winch more weight than tuther with less stress on parts etc?
Two examples, a fin nor offshore 9500 and 6500 vs two house bricks and eighty yard vertical lift any info appreciated.🤔
Wind knots and ring wraps plus distance not a concern for now😂

I would use a Hod for the bricks :rolleyes:

No idea on the reels;);)

Speaking from experience, a fin nor offshore 6500 wouldn't even know you had two breeze blocks on the end of the rod, let alone two house bricks.
I used to use one for rock fishing, absolute tank of a reel and would probably deadlift anything in British waters up a cliff quite happily.

Praise be, as I am not completely at one with my Alvey but will be fine in daylight, great to know will proceed with plan👍
Many thanks.
