stack point? falmouth 27.07.24

tides- no idea, maybee 11amh/w

bait- dexters & a sliver of mackerel

sea conditions- pretty flat.

had been on a family jolly for a couple of days and had some light kit in the car. i dont really know the area so on last morning dragged myself out early to the rock point

a metal wedge lure was deployed and eventually i hooked a mackerel for breakfast, a feast for me and the grandson. which might actually be the first cornish fish i'd caught. hooked but lost another ( barbless hook) then put a short ledger on the bottom baited with a fine sliver of belly mackerel to nail the first wrasse ive had in years, with happy memorys of dancing about on the rocks near brixham rekindled though a damned sight more carefully these days over 40 years later.
i wandered back into town and breakfast by about 9am.
