As most of you know by now, I am a bit of a weird one... Just in case you had any doubt, this weekend, I decided to build a driftwood raft to lure fish off.

The beach, just west of Chapman's Pool, is absolutely teeming with big logs, pallets and even a couple of railway sleepers.

Armed with 300m of rope, I headed down to the beach on Friday to relive my youth.

I'm pleased to say that the raft did float, but unfortunately, all the fish I did land, were from the shore.
