I saw your post on the dark side Steve. No experience of such things, but it did cross my mind as to how high is the heater in relation to the waterline? Last think you want is a wave or bit of water current shooting a jet of water back up the exhaust.I guess the only way to decided on a silencer is to install it without, and run it for a while to see what the noise levels are.I know the Eberspatcher ones in the trucks I used to drive were quite quiet inside, but a bit louder outside where the exhaust exited.
