After a few months away from the beach, due to inertia, crap weather and any number of other excuses, I decided to give it a crack for a plaice or two at Shoreham. Had arranged to meet up with Nigel and Nick and clearly we’d picked the right day, with sea clearing after the settled weather of the last few days and joy of joys, pretty much wall to wall sunshine. As expected, had a few fish just after low then an anticipated quiet spell (apart from Nigel the Fish Whisperer who managed to find a couple) until they returned just before high and an hour and a half down.1681056364615.jpeg 1681056465080.jpeg1681056540264.jpeg 1681056640593.jpegNo monsters but we managed to winkle out a respectable number between us. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and to rekindle the spark. Great to catch up Nigel and nice to meet you Nick. Unsure as to when I’ll next head out, certainly won’t be this week looking at the forecast. Just as a heads up, first signs of May rot appearing, little globs of it clinging to the line. Need to start re-naming it - it seems to arrive earlier each year. cheers for now, Bob

Nice report & Photos Bob. You and your mates did well with the Flatties, and it sounds like a good day out on the shore. 🎣🎣👍👍

It was nice to catch up with you Bob, and a few plaice were a bonus really given the company and the fantastic conditions for getting back down the beach. Still a few fish to be had despite the strings of nets about 1/2 mile offshore! Will certainly be looking to get back out again when weather and tides are suitable.

Cheers Nigel, will keep an eye on the tides and weather.

Thanks all, for the responses. Will try not to leave it so long before I venture out again.
