Had to decide whether to go out in the freezing cold or stay in the warm by the fire. Tide looked OK, wind not too strong, moon just past full, maybe a chance of squid. Somehow this tipped the balance in favour of the freezing option.

Out with the squid jigs and off to Weymouth. Spent a few chilly hours but rewarded with a couple medium-sized squid. One took a super-duper expensive Yamashita jig while the other was happy with a tuppeny no-name version.

Only took a few hours to warm up again.

Water's still pretty warm, 10.3 °C at Weymouth. It's just the air that's cold.
Cold for this neck of the woods, anyway. We don't usually do minus numbers very much.

Nice report John - good result after braving the cold. 🎣🎣👍👍
