Just heard from a mate fishing chesil this week, couldn't fish mon and tues,
Yesterday was shite apparently and today bass first cast,freak wave took both rod's and tripod £800 worth!!! I know one rod is a century tip tornado. If anyone pulls them in please message me. Many thanks in advance

Just spoke to him and he said it was tornado tip and gold akios multi he lost.
Everyone packed up when that happened,rod smashed to bits. Ten feet from the edge fifteen feet in the air.
Gutted for him

Yep he said that it was a lot worse today. He lost his gear 2/3 hrs after high.

Yep, he said normally he'd jump down to save it! But being there he didn't think twice about letting it go,if he didn't and a wave got him well enough said.
Where we fish round here shingle bank isn't as steep or deep.
