I'm off to Freshwater Caravan sites Week Saturday I've had great info off Members on here what to Target with Bait Rigs Etc .His it Worth putting my lure Rod and lures in Got good Selection of Metals Dexter Wedges Abu Toby Surf Seekers Etc and Hard and Soft Plastic lures is it bit late for Gars Mackerel Scad or Bass any info be Appreciated thxs Lee👍

Have watched lure anglers land plenty of bass whilst I've been cod fishing in October. You seem to get more gars mackerel and bass this time of year on chesil, as long as conditions allow. Most of the lure anglers I see use a white fish type lure, with a paddle type tail.

FBM, zonk sw are standard fare for Chesil as it’s deep and snag free, but just about any lure will catch there, depending on the state of the sea/weather etc.
it’s certainly great fun and allows you to roam after the bass, rather than waiting for them to come to you👍

Nearly always take a Lure rod if bait fishing. Bait up & cast out the big rods, then have a few casts with a lure for Mackerel or whatever, until the bait on the big rods needs refreshing.

I've got couple Small jigs which I know work well for Pollack is it Worth putting these in Guys just Trying to cover every option

Look good to me Lee - if there's no Pollock about, they might find you some fresh Mackerel for bait. 🎣🎣

Well there's 2 14ft Penn Tidal xtr Beach Rods a Shimano exsage heavy Travel 2.7m lure Rod and Abu Carp 2.5lb Rod in the Holdall so Bait, lure Float or Feather covered

Fresh Mackerel be great only a Few do me I intend to be out Every Morning early and Mrs wants to go one Evening with Me so that's a Bonus 😁

Will give that Try probably worth Trying jigs and Floatfished live Ragworm over that and Try find where the Sand clean Ground meets the Reef try encourage few fish off the Reefs on the Beach Rods they Only Small Tides so not Sure how far it push me back up the Beach

I'm not sure how far you'll be pushed back? Not fished it for years but it used to hold some half decent congers (had them to 26lb) huss to around 9lb and lots of smallish wrasse. You also get the odd decent flounder to 2lb odd near to the river. This area definitely holds bass, but then again they are all the way along anyways...

Thxs for information from everyone I think everything is Covered hopefully weather is ok can cope with bit of Wind and Drizzle not to Windy lol and Seas not to Rough although if Rough could Throw up few Codling will just change Tactics for The Conditions 👍
