Just get some wood drill holes in it to size can even drill small holes from other side for wires turn over then pour then break apart once cooled! but things like sockets are one piece so often won't be able to get lead back out and as hardened/chromed metal can react to heat of lead and get's very dammed hot and cheapo sockets can burst with heat and expanse of leadI saw a web page where they guy was making lead weights from a 14mm pipe wrench socket . Thing is they were only 35g and I thought why not use a deep socket going to give an array of different weights depending on the size and you can pick these sockets up at auto jumbles for very cheap.
You beat me to it Tourno about getting the lead back out of the socket. I was going to suggest wooden moulds too. Best plan is to use bone dry hardwood. Drill a suitable hole in a plank with a spade bit in from the edge, and then use a bandsaw (or handsaw) to split the mould before clamping it together and filling it. You could just drill the lead afterwards for gripper wires, but you would also have to carve some grooves for the wires to latch into.Just get some wood drill holes in it to size can even drill small holes from other side for wires turn over then pour then break apart once cooled! but things like sockets are one piece so often won't be able to get lead back out and as hardened/chromed metal can react to heat of lead and get's very dammed hot and cheapo sockets can burst with heat and expanse of lead
