Fishing time- . 1600 to 18.30
Tide.- high water 19.05 pm .11.9 meters
Wind-East south east 0> 6 mph
Air Pressure.- 1026 mb
Surf conditions - height, 6ins at best, with 3/4Tables -, Stretching out -30 meters .
General conditions.- Thick overcast cloud
Bait- Lug(past it's best) lol
Tackle set up- Any fish anywhere four and bait paired with an Penn 515 , and a Blackrock Foosa with a 7000 fixed spool,
End tackle - 4 oz weights, one up one down flappers, with size two hooks
This was totally unplanned sesion, it more about using up some bait left over from Wednesday. The misses or (she who must be obeyed) told me in no mean terms to get that smelly bait out of the fridge . When I checked it it was just about usable though I do remember reading somewhere that sole like a bit of the smelly stuff.
I cast out the rods not to far or I'll end up losing my end gear on some stones and sand worm. Had a few small inquiries on the first cast but nothing to positive. I reeled in the anyfish rod to find a foul hooked whiting about 4 oz and decided to keep it for a big single bait later on as it was already a gonner . On the second cast my Foosa was twitching with a slow subtle sort of bite which had me thinking a mini dogfish. I brought it in, and when the weight on the end failed to surface 30 meters out I'm thinking maybe just maybe it was my target species, I was delighted when a good condition 14 oz Dover sole slid along on to the sand. The rest of the session was a few small whiting a two big dogfish, no more sole, my session ended just a little earlier than planned when a few youngsters decided it would be good fun letting off fireworks off a few yards from where I was fishing. I don't have a problem with people doing their own thing, but come on how about a little consideration for the people around you.
Tight line all, enjoy your time at the waters edge.
Punch to the skies
