Anyone know of a casting instructor in the East Sussex area? Looking Hastings/Bexhill/Eastbourne area. The instructor I know of at Anglers den (Pevensey) isn’t taking bookings right now. I need to tweak my casting and iron out some bad habits I’ve developed trying to relearn to cast with me knackered shoulder.

just practice until you find what is good for you,

Can i add to this if you dont mind.
I have found my catch rates off the shore reduced the further out i cast. After really getting the lead to sing i noticed bite detection was poor and bait had to be smaller and hooks because blunt quicker !

now im back to a lob with great results

just my 2 pennies worth!

however come the winter months 6-bait and distance comes into its own

That’s right mate, the majority of my fishing is done between “comfortable” distances of 40-80yrds, I get the majority of my bites at these ranges, but my casting has suffered from the shoulder injuries I picked up in Afghan, I have probably adapted to these changes and picked up some bad habits. I think a session with a casting instructor will help me identify the reasons why I can’t hit the distances I used to be able to hit, and just generally tidy up my “injury adapted” technique!
