Not been out much lately but slowly getting back out there. Fished Burnham down in the mud for 4 hours, resulting in a thornie of around 8 or 9lb and a conger of 8 to 10lb which gave a very good account of itself. The scratching rod produced half a dozen codling which are slowly getting bigger but still undersized. Dug some worm while i was there and travelled down to West chesil early doors, first cast resulted in a double shot of plaice, brilliant I thought this is going to be a good day. How wrong was I !? Another plaice a couple of hours later, then another 2 as the tide eased, so final score was 5 plaice, 1 dab, 1 grey Gurnard and a whiting. Biggest plaice was 35cm but no monsters and a very slow day to be honest, had to work hard for what I caught. Missed a few pull downs which is usual for small-ish tides and loads of rot coming in already.

Lots of fish. Nice one.
Well done on a couple of doubles or near doubles ??

Well done Squiddy - great report! ????

Nice double session there and good to hear there are still some codling left in the sea. Maybe in a year or two we'll have something worth catching again.
