Went to Blackpool sands yesterday evening in the hope of a shore Rockling for my hunt, had them there in previous years so thought id be in for a shout.
Set up feeling rather confident, cast the first rod out and just about to cast the 2nd I notice rod 1 bouncing, blimey that's a bit quick, cast rod 2 out and retrieved rod 1, 2 nice sized Whiting on it, put the rod down to unhook em and the other rods bouncing, full house on this one!, 5 fish in less than 3mins, thought this going to keep me busy tonight.
Swapped rigs around so didn't have so many hooks out catching the tings but they still came, as the light went the chill started and got worse as it got darker, even pulling in fish and casting wasn't warming me up. There was mist coming off the sea as it was so cold, gave it around hour and half before I decided to call it a day, couldn't feel or move my fingers much as was so cold, bloody blood thinners ruining my fishing!! My old petrol hand warmer had given up the ghost and my mittens wasn't cutting it either, so trundled dejected back to the car to sit with me hands rammed in the blowers trying to warm them up, so I could drive.
Just splashed out on a new electric hand warmer so hopefully next weekend ill fish for a bit longer!!

Good effort 'Nanas! Good to see you out & about again, even if the target was not playing ball. Whiting Goujons on the menu? ??
