A trip to Boscombe Pier to see what other flatties could be caught, it was breezy and fine, I started fishing at about 5.30 pm and finished at 12.30am.

For all that effort I caught a tiny Turbot (No.22) near the start of the session on razor fish bait, , two small Sole on rag worm that another angler gave me when he packed up and a small Conger Eel on a Gar strip (No. 23) near the end of the session.
Fishing was pretty poor with some anglers not getting a bite, a few different species were caught by others, a nice Tub Gurnard, two sizeable Black Bream and a small Plaice. Spider crabs were a nuisance snipping hooks that were anywhere near the bottom.

A source of amusement among the locals is to point out the chalk cliffs on the Isle of Wight across the bay to a gullible tourist and say " I see they've repainted the polar bear", there are people who now think that people spend time painting acres of fields white to give tourists something to look at..

Other species hunters were in action, I'll leave it to them to say how they did.
