Errr did you actually read what I wrote ??1/4 turn each cast would have sent 5-6 snap off's sailing out to sea because the braking force was more than the 15lb line could take.I was only using 125g to make a few practice casts with the new mag set up otherwise the reel was as previously used (yellow rocket oil, 1 brake block) with a simple overhead lob."1/4 turn back from where it would start to lift" means nothing unless you know how many turns out you're normally using, or what "it would just start to lift" means I agree that everyone's end setting might well differ, But the braking force from the Monomag far exceeds the maximum from the std sliding mag, so new users need a little bit of warning just how much braking force there is.
