Hi all. Well after the Scotland trip, I was back and keen for a hound. Only issue the hounds heard I was coming and buggered off ?
I did two trips looking, for just one small strap!... Loads of effort as well as pouring rain... Ah had enough of hounds... Just not my year ☹️

So needing a quick fix I decided to take the misses to Ilfracombe for a couple days and walk the coast paths and do a bit of lrf ?

I wasn't really prepped, and just took a 1-7g rod and a bit of isome.

The fishing was dead slow unfortunately, but I found a few fish on the plastic and a few more on some scrounged rag and squid. 7 species I think it was.
It was a lovely few days away in the sunshine in a beautiful area. I'll def go back soon.

Cheers Si.

Fiddler! ????

Walking the coast path is great and I like Ilfracombe as a place, but I must admit, being on the pier at this time of year is my idea of one of the circles of the lower hells ???

You should have said you were over this way Si, I could have popped over to say hi or have a quick beer.

I'll pop over again bud, I'll give you a shout ?

I did find lovely cold cider on both the long walks... A blessing in the hot blazing sun ?
