Very true however I think it depends what you want them for. The very basic ones won’t have much in the way of padding though you could buy insoles.

If you’re walking miles or fishing for 12 hours I guess you want something a bit better in quality but a few hours on a beach and a short walk, it’s probably neither here nor there imo
