South West Beesands

Few hours at beesands yesterday afternoon, 1st trip of the year , only had frozen bait - sandeel , squid & some blacks.
Slow to start then 2 hours before high the whiting turned up , nothing big best probably just shy of a pound. All on fish baits nothing on blacks , was hoping for an early plaice but wasn't to be , maybe next time.

There were alot of plaice on the skerries yesterday. We had them up to 2lb - but they weren’t our target. Its always worth keeping a bait moving for the flats.

Nice report Dexy, well done! Shame there wasn't any Plaice about, but from what I've read recently, they tend to be very thin and not really worth catching this time of the year anyway.
