Hi all.
Sorry not put reports up for a while, I have been out as a few of you know, trying different spots and areas.... Even been doing some high water marks which is rare for me!.... And even last week a trip on a mates boat for bass ?.... I'm not really good on boats!
Anyway fishing has been great, plenty of fish and a few nice ones.... Even a new species... A Ringneck Blenny ?... I know... A Blenny ?
Had loads of fish that trip with Devon lurfer, wrasse, gobbies, pollack, pout, macky... Etc, etc... Great day, great company ?
Back to the channel after that and trips on hounds bass, sole and rays.
Hounds have been avoiding me this year so far with just the odd decent one so I mainly went for sole, bass and rays and tried some new marks to mix things up.
First trip on the Sole I found a small one around a lb, then moving spots I found a couple around 2lb and another move produced a 2lb 4oz fish.... Happy days ?
The rays were fairly quiet, just one good session with 5 think it was to around 9lb, and a few odd ones sole fishing.
I do love the rays ?
The bass turned out slow, I've had a steady stream to 5+, but lately its been dead on lots of mark talking to mates, and hopefully will improve soon.
Think we had 15 spinning on boat trip, which was a poor day according to my mate, but still great fun.
Now, those hounds.... Well I finally found them!... And some monsters... Had about 8 over 14lb with the best two going 16.11 & 17.06.....my 2nd and 3rd biggest ever.... Well happy with those ?.... Unfortunately no good pics of the 16 as phone went flat, but here's pic of the 17 and a 15.
