No, I didn’t. I have nothing but respect and admiration for our late Queen. She has done an incredible job for our country. I also like the pomp and ceremony. It shows our country off at its very best. Makes me proud to be British. I’d have probably shed a tear at some stage during the day, out of sentiment.

But I have no faith. Whilst I am sad at her passing, I don’t believe that any amount of hymn-singing, praying or other religious mumbo jumbo (to me) will make any difference now that she has passed. (I sit in the camp that believes that religion has caused more problems than it’s ever solved).

I did spend some time today thinking of her and her family. I hope they can learn to live with their loss and manage their grief soon.
