Havnt been out for a while as been waiting for things to calm down abit so popped to my local for a few hrs tides were crap but just needed to get out Rumours of small eye had me casting sandeel baits on long up and overs and as expected nothing for a hr then managed a decent whiteing this was followed by another then a good old dog fish then had something that scrapped a bit turned out to be a strap of a few pounds then I had huge bite the rod tip bent right over I wound down and struck but it had gone bass ray maybe but more likely a bigger eel quite a few about at the moment the guy I was fishing with father had a 24 lber few days before on the next beach on when I did bring that rod in it had a small pout on it one more dog for me my mate had one strap bigger than mine his only fish . So nice night fishing wasn’t great as expected but good to get out better tides next weekend hopefully this east winds we are due all week will bugger off cheers ma Bute’s .
