…… of sessions this week taking me to 10 for the season now.
The first session was on Tuesday and though conditions seemed perfect it was far from it on the fish front. Eventually, stopping off at a spot en route back to the car proving a wise decision with a little scrapper to the Sunslicker Primus again
Not the biggest but again it meant I avoided the blank.
Wednesday I’d hoped would be slightly better, again conditions were perfect for the spot in mind and I hoped the bigger tide would encourage the fish to feed a little harder.
I didn’t have to wait quite so long as I had the previous night to beat the blank when a stunning Sea Trout took a fancy to my Sunslicker Primus
Went absolutely mental in the shallows and on a couple of occasions I thought it would shake the hooks, but all was good and after a quick pic it was returned.
Next up was a Bass which after a change in lure took a fancy to the larger Sunslicker Versio
This was quickly followed a few casts later by a better Bass again to the Versio, measured this one out of interest at 53cm. Again a quick pic and released to grow a little bigger
Didn’t stay much longer after the second Bass but that 10 sessions in now without a blank and a bonus Sea Trout for my efforts too, happy days and roll on the next outing!
