Hi Andrew, welcome to the forum. I haven't used the fury however a while back when I was going down the conti route for clean beaches I considered one. Ended up going for the blackrock renaissance zt4200 which is superb and cost sub 100. Superb bite detection, very easy to use OTG cast, and good power has handled some decent huss. They have bought another out more recently the T2 I believe but can't comment on this one. Definitely worth a look at, also the vercelli engygma range, I have the Speziale and this is another capable rod same price and full fuji fittings etc.

Iv looked at the Blackrock zoosa,up from the renaissance, but I'm not a fan of the blank colour ,but the specs are great for the price

I had a FX420 Fury, think its just the shorter version. I bought it when I got into beach fishing and it served me well until I decided I preferred a multiplier for casting.

I think bite detection was superb. The tip is very fine for a beach caster, and a bonus is that it is glow in the dark. I always said I would have loved to use it in a river for barbel!

I can't imagine you would have any issues with bite detection with this rod, it will show tiny taps from small species. Was also a very nicer to cast with, it was only my preference to use a multiplier that made me sell mine.

I think I am correct in saying that you can also purchase a "heavier" tip for the Fury to give you options dependant on where you are fishing and what for.
Youtube search for the Awful Angler who uses them, can't remember what length and I am sure the Holderness Codfather does too.
