Things have been very boring of late what with the weather and this COVID nonsense... it is like being a surgeon without actually doing anything. Anyway the wife suggested a trip into the new store that opened recently to break the monotony... So we did! The shop has a lot of gear but mostly for fresh water. It does have a sea fishing section but stock is limited and to be blunt not cheap. I was looking at lures there that are three or four times the price of similar items being sold at Ali Ex and here's the thing most of them are made in China ! The same applies to rods and reels of which the had a decent selection but again most of them made in China. I have to say that you can understand why they have to charge a huge mark up there must be about 15 or more staff and they have to be paid. A for example would be a simple Black minnow kit for a 120 there it was about €9 the same thing from Ali ex is €3.80 . I will be sending out to Ali Ex for most of my lures and stuff the choice is much better and it costs me nothing for time , fuel for travel or postage.
If I was a carp fisher then things would change because as well as having everything you might need for a good nights sleep:ROFLMAO: they also had rods, hooks and all the other trappings of the carp fisher. They have lots of ground bait and so on as well as live baits for the pike fishers and pike fishers were well catered for.
Anyway back now and the first bottle of beer has been consumed have a great weekend all!

How one industry can revolve round one fish is beyond me [ CARP ] can only be money.
