Met up with john yesterday to have a fish down at EP, was a windy, squally start that turned in to a nice day for most of it, not a lot fish wise happened.
Nothing but weed on the ebb, then a bit after the flood started John managed a little schoolie, back to the weed for a bit. then as we was chatting, John had a series of nice bites that he failed to connect with, (i still recon was weed), chuckling, I wandered back to my gear to pull some more weed in and a schoolie as well, with a smug grin I shouted over to tell John of my catching prowess .
Nothing happed for several hours after that bar being pushed a bit more up the beach towards the rocks, oh and pulling more weed in, we was getting a tad fed up by now and could see some dark clouds forming so the decision was made to scarper before we got wet, I packed one rod away and picked the the other up to feel something pulling back and it wasn't weed, another schoolie had finally found my bait, quick unhook and back in the water, gear packed up and up the hill to the car just as it started to rain. Was a nice day down there, chatting and weed hauling, plus still one the nicest beaches to fish, even if it didn't have many fish this time.

It was great to get out , but what a journey flooded roads debris everywhere, still I made it in one piece , what a great place to fish no other anglers in sight , I wonder why , I soon found out why we had the beach to ourselves no fish , Bob was fed up catching whiting, pout , dogs , so here we are drowning worms and feeding sandeels to the crabs , so I had one bass and Bob doubled my score to get 2 , well done mate
