Hi guys, sorry I've not posted, been busy fishing and doing stuff at home.
I'm also not a fan of long dark nights and cold either, so always a struggle to drag the old bones out this time of year .
Anyway, it's been a bit of a Thorny fest.... Bloody things been out en mass, on the warmer days I've ventured out. So many the cod just don't get a look in ?
Having a quick count up, I've had over 50 since new year, nice size fish, mostly females in the 7.5-9.5lb bracket with a couple of doubles to 11lb+
I've also had a few eels when the rays didn't show, best going 11, 15, 16.
Also found a few bass to 4+, again when the rays were quiet!
The rays did wear me down eventually, and I had an evening down Weymouth last week on the squid.
First trip for a couple of months down there, but was worth the drive, managed a few nice squid to eat and use as bait ?
That's about it bar a few dogs, a codlet and a few tings and crabs!
I'm away for a few weeks now so will keep you posted if I find any fish on my travels ?
Cheers Si.
