Had another bash on the breakwater this morning after the past two soggy days kept me inside. Just as I got there the winds died off which was a bonus, as the forecast was suppose to be a bit gusty. First casts and I could feel a little niggle bites but no fish, second cast was the same tiny little bites no fish, so the third I left it out for a minute longer then bang fish on and a Sardine was out. a few more landed before the Mackerel started showing up.
A few more fish later and a small bite and very light fight on the way in gave me my target fish, an Anchovy, a few more Mackerel and Sardines before another Anchovy came out, two of them was very happy with that.
Towards the end of the first hour I had a good take which I thought was a Mackerel as was pulling all over the place but he turned out to be a rather large Herring, had a few more Mackerel before moving back along the breakwater and trying for a wrasse on the bottom, tried a few spots along but was totally biteless and as I got closer to the car park I got snagged and lost the trace so decided to call it a day.
