Had another go at the breakwater on Tuesday evening, pretty quite there bar a very small Pouting and a new species for the hunt, a much wanted Long spined sea scorpion, managed to lose several pebble weights to snags and bait to a few crabs there, not a over exciting trip.
On Thursday as it was so nice and sunny and calm, I gave Goodrington a go, first drop another Scorpion fish, tho this one was a bit smaller than the previous one.
Had a Ballan and Shanny out after that, but when darkness came it was pout and Pollock time, which was surprising as its been a bit dire in the evenings, so was glad they was showing, they even came in 3 at a time. Was very cold tho when My other half came to pick me up.
Next night it was back to the Breakwater in the hope of a Conger or two, another lovely evening for fishing, very calm and still nice and warm, well to start with.
Had a stunning sunset as well
Well fishing was very quite again over this side of the bay, managed to drop a small Conger, many words spoken in to the night after that.
One bit of action after I noticed a slack line bite and a very heavy weight hanging on as I pulled it in.
A nice little Lobster was attached to the hook, he posed for a couple a pics by me and for a couple that was walking by that started to coo over him before he went back to find a crab pot.
Late in the session I had the second bite of the evening and managed to keep this one one on the hook, definitely not a monster but was pleased with it as the baby Conger gave me another new species.
Packed up soon after that as was getting very cold again, so much that couldn't feel me toes.
And as Saturday was still so lovely, with a touch of East wind I nipped to Haldon for a couple of hours, few fish came out mostly Ballans and Corkwings.
Bumped in to Barsock there,, which was good to finally meet up with him and have a good chat.
This was the best one of the day, not a lot a fish really this week but have managed 3 new species so very pleased with that, supposed to be a good few days of East winds aging so guess wont get out much this coming week.
