Well well where to start. I know let's start at the beginning,
first match was held on the local cliffs (in between the hoards of mackie bashers) who were not adverse to taking everything else (undersized cod and pollack) I blame the match secy however we tried and then tried some more only one 38cm cod measured and released as it may be the only one left up here, for my sins I caught ,photo'd and released 7 ballan wrasse, 2 coalies and a lsd, by the way these foreigners don't half move quick when you return a fish 🐟 but not quite quick enough :D
The second "cod" match was at an out of the way venue so we were away from the pests unfortunately we were also away from the rare breed we used to call cod end result was 2 doggies and 1 beast of a ballan wrasse for mwah probably should not complain as the rest had even less with only 1 wrasse and 1 silver eel between the lot of them, few undersized coalies were the only things landed.
PS if there was a bright side it came in the form of only loosing 3 leads at this venue probably a world record never to be beaten, oh and a tidy piece sunbathing just along the rocks from me and topless to boot not that I was watching as I was glued to the (fishing) rod tip praying for some action (fishing) before you ask

Good report. I've not had a Dog fish off this coast - not that I particularly want to catch one.
