South West A busy few mins

Hi all
Out last night on a low water rock mark, calm conditions,didn't look great from the off t.b.h,none the less both rods soon baited up with whole squid/black,in a matter of minutes a big pull down produced the first flat rat 8lb5oz, I had just unclipped the rig and a pull down on the 2nd rod,that produced another rat 8lb12oz..
Then all went quiet and nothing not a touch..tide turned still nothing,then a slow pull down,I knew another ray before I landed it and sure enough another rat 8lb4oz....packed up shortly after that.
I had hoped for a cod,but none the less good to be out as always.

Never explored the mud for worm tbh as there is very little fishing time as it is.. however there is some mixed ground that's caught my eye more than a few times,so definitely worth a look,and coincidence you happen to mention it,I was only chatting to si-fly about it not long ago I must make the effort some time to look ...also only fishing these marks on certain tides,and always mainly under the cover of darkness hasn't helped,
Also strange is if I use worm there it is no way as effective as a whole squid,it out fishes worm by a long way imho ,as I have found out on many occasions over the years...or maybe a confidence thing,who knows ??
