lee on the solent , usual patch, more or less.
fishing alone this time.

moon on full dark, & high tide for 0100.

a dry but overcast night , wind was southwest and quite strong to start with but dropped off in the morning.
water was coloured with small waves rolling in , no more than a foot high.

baits were ;- frozen squid & mackerel, refrozen prawns. fresh blow . and some rag that was given my by anglers who had had enough by about 11pm.
rigs:- pulleys, up n over , and a dropdown scratchy rig.

i was a couple of bays left of the usual as spot was occupied. i probably fished from about 19.30 ish through till 03. there was no weed to be a problem.

fish were notable by their absence, had a few half hearted nibbles then about 2 hours b4 highwter i had 3-4 good seperate bites to a mix of squid, prawn or rag. but frustratingly couldnt get a hook up.

finished with a blank card & i didnt see anybody else catch .

Seems hard going along there Gordon, mate fishes between Lee sailing club & Bronwich and has had F-all of note this year, whereas few miles over on IOW been good year for some.

Nice report & photos Gordon. Shame there didn't seem to be any Fishies about. 🎣🎣👍👍

Unlucky on the blank.
