2023, febuary , trip 2.
sandbanks, nr poole.
approx 1400-2000. cold.
weather ,- dry & cold, overcast with moderate cold winds sort of westerly then swung north.
tides, - 3/4 moon, building tides. h/w well i made it 2300.
sea state,- flat n clear
baits,- rag, froze lug,bluey, sandeel
rigs,- bomber, 2 ooks flapping , pulley .
Back out with jerry & ian, plan was for a plaice hunt , hence smaller hooks than usual , 2's & 4's mostly. Ian pitched on the end of a breakwater while jerry & i pitched on the beach either side, it was a pleasant afternoon with good scenery , and endless people and dogs wandering by to distract us from motionless rods. eventually the tide started to push in with no problems with weed ( or fish) .
darkness slowy crept in and i became more optimistic, still no bites coming to my rod but ian lost a little flattie before he could beach it. later followed by jerry catching a plm sized plaice.
i blanked. we left beach for some scran on way home.
