    Ability to switch rigs quickly

I am a bit similar to OP's grandad, loops for me small loop on main line to swivel and larger one to rig to slip through swivel, old school but simple and less things to fail.

    Ability to switch rigs quickly

Yes i found one with a good way for hooking lure on, it was simple and strong, nothing like them slip over and slip in types.

    Ability to switch rigs quickly

I have used one type (probably a cheapo make) that was useless after a single session as in post 16. But i use something similar for quick lure changes, and they are ok.:rolleyes: But never fully tested by a 10lb bass...............YET;);)

    Ability to switch rigs quickly

I would not use line connected to them but do use a similar type to change lures quickly. Cheap ones are rubbish and if you ever use them, throw them away after one session.

    Ability to switch rigs quickly

if i am changing different lures i will just loop a short length of mono both ends with loop and fix one of them or similar on the buisness end and loop the other through my initial swivel. I know its doubled swiveled but far easy for me if i wanted to slip a feathered rig on the initial swivel.

    Ability to switch rigs quickly

I mostly tie a loop on mono, loop the swivel on and go from there. Easy to tie loads on the swivel by another loop. Only different for me if using running ledger, i like to keep things as easy as possible.

    Saltwater fly fishing

Just like trout, just experiment with colours, if you got a snap link on the end do a few casts with one and just slip it off and do other colours. I fished one of our Co Reservoirs and there were 4 locations that only took one colour and not the other, ranging from lime green, red, orange and...

Advice Best All Year Wellies Options?

Summer just wear an old set of trainers, no prob's then getting them wet, just rinse with clean water when home save them rotting.
