    Well in that case i would just use Mono and start from there Google rig set ups and go for the simplest to suit conditions locations and depth Same with lures what ever you fancy that looks good may suit. I use a simple method, loop on the line, swivel and loop to your choice of lure

    I have seen many fishing the shore line with waders on, fishing over sandy ground or where stones are.

    Do not do pond/carp like fishing, i can watch others doing it for ages, but not do myself. Sea, rivers and lakes for me.

    Try lure fishing with him first, you cast for him and let him wind it in (not over rough ground though) he will soon be busy. Then learn him to cast. I did it with grandson around that age, he soon get the hang of it. Then do bait sessions after he has got into it.

    As i have said before it would be impossible to replace fish fish products caught for human consumption with anything else throughout the world.

    I eat fish i catch. And because i like many fish products i buy them, no problems with that. If you like vegatables or bread do you think you should grow your own or bake your own, or starve!!!
