Would like to do some lure fishing in Kent. Where and when would be a good place to try.

Don't need your secret spots but just a general beach or area I could try.

I have never lure fished in UK but have done plenty around the world.
 
Not my part of the coast you tried Google always throws up some information to get you going then look on Google earth for rocky outcrops & estuary are a good starting point part of the fun is working it out for yourself local tackle shops might help out someone else might come along with a bit more info good luck
 
Welcome to UK lure fishing. Kent’s a great place to start, try spots like deal, dungeness, or reculver. Early morning or late evening on a moving tide usually gives you the best shot. Summer into early autumn is prime time for bass, especially around structure or rough ground. Tight lines, and enjoy exploring the coast.

can you tell me more about Reculver please ? (is closest to Canterbury where I will be visiting)

Also what permits does one need to fish there ?

You don't need one for sea fishing in the UK, out of season for fresh water.
Note: all the trawlers have swiped most of the decent sea fish.
 
My advice is go on Google earth,& look for rocky outcrops ,gulleys and holes,sandbars then go and look at low tide,and watch what way the tide comes in.Hope this helps.
