Great catch would love to get one of those , provided I had my son to take the hook out ! What weight line was that on ?
15lbs

Tinned processed meat.

As this thread has been resurrected I’d like to point out that the commercials were given quota on the thornback rays and you’re lucky to get one or two in a session now, whereas before catching fifteen plus was seen as quite normal. The latest reason from the commercials for the lack of rays is the underground cables from the windfarms. 🤔

probably the most unexpected, thought it was a ray.

I think my proudest moment would be a toss up between these three but the winner would have to be the cod because it was the culmination of 35 years of shore cod fishing whereas the search for shore tope and skate was a later interest.
