    Gran Canaria 2025

I soon found that out 😂.... butterflies can be nippy out there as well! Think these are the apex finger crushers though! 😳

    Gran Canaria 2025

Strangely that one I was able to pick up and avoid the razor sharp needles!...... however as I gently put it down after taking that pic, the tip of its nose just touched my knee through my army trousers 😢 I also had an incident with another one where I tried to use a T bar to remove the 9/0...

Nice fishing guys ...well done👍 I was out there in January, and it was very slow on the stingray. The white skate did seem to fill the void though along with plenty of bycatch angels!.... remember these are protected, so get them back asap 👍

    At arm’s length

I try to post pics that look good, for me that's important....the fish is generally the subject of the pic...so show it off I say.....yep guys over do it...not a great look, unless it's a head shot showing teeth ect ...done to make a point. Nice fish Fish, hounds can be a right pain to...

    Advice New Rods Advice Needed

Saw my name mentioned, and had a quick scan through. I still love the original mk2 13ft fireblades for a lot of my ray/hound fishing....such easy rods to use for mixed ground. Light in the hand and very easy to cast a good distance.....I sum them up by saying there a lovely fishing rod...rather...

A load of gifted rods needing attention/refurb

Unfortunately I'm not sure those rods are really worth the effort 😢.....but post some pics and we can have a look 👍 The quality of a rod can have a lot to do with your ability to cast to where the fish are..... fiberglass is heavy and very floppy.....not the most fun to use, but saying that if...

    Penn reels

Im still using the first addition fathoms, the later mk1 seem to corrode more than early ones though.....mk4 🤔.....think bad reviews outway the good!

South Coast A little trip away ...

Not particularly.....think was more poor bait, locations, and not having a clue 😁 Following trip went very well ....learn a lot when others catch and you don't....even if you don't see your mistakes straight away.

    Nice fish, well done 👍

    I'm so confused....

For south wales, probably need a strong rod to cope with the strong tides, and big leads...7 or 8oz often needed. Maybe look for a 2nd hand Century with a casting rating to suit ....i tend to use a kompressor SS when i fish that side ,👍

South Coast A little trip away ...

Cracking report and pics Chris 👍....it certainly can be tough out there....my first week of solid fishing on Fuert produced just 2 fish on the big rods .....that tests the sanity 😬👍

    shock leaders

Braid generally is poor for shock loads and abrasion. Some lads as can be seen here, use it with no issues.... Maybe mostly on clean beaches?... I've no idea, but I would suggest going over 100lb if using a braid leader, def use something heavier than you would if your used to mono leaders...
