    Strangely that one I was able to pick up and avoid the razor sharp needles!...... however as I gently put it down after taking that pic, the tip of its nose just touched my knee through my army trousers 😢 I also had an incident with another one where I tried to use a T bar to remove the 9/0...

    Nice fishing guys ...well done👍 I was out there in January, and it was very slow on the stingray. The white skate did seem to fill the void though along with plenty of bycatch angels!.... remember these are protected, so get them back asap 👍

    Not particularly.....think was more poor bait, locations, and not having a clue 😁 Following trip went very well ....learn a lot when others catch and you don't....even if you don't see your mistakes straight away.

    I'm so confused....

    For south wales, probably need a strong rod to cope with the strong tides, and big leads...7 or 8oz often needed. Maybe look for a 2nd hand Century with a casting rating to suit ....i tend to use a kompressor SS when i fish that side ,👍

    shock leaders

    Braid generally is poor for shock loads and abrasion. Some lads as can be seen here, use it with no issues.... Maybe mostly on clean beaches?... I've no idea, but I would suggest going over 100lb if using a braid leader, def use something heavier than you would if your used to mono leaders...
