Tried the link but found the bend was too tight and could cause the hook not to set so went back to the loop system. Apart from this my hook up rate is no different to a penal and really negates deep hooking fish. The only thing I wouldn’t really use em for is bass but then again just like...
I use the trident ones and they work well I also attach an imp to them and use it in a running up and over rig. Can fish a long hook length with ease then.
Will definitely cope with that I’ve used mine around rocky outcrops dropping a bait into the clean area between sets of reefs/rock pools and allow a bait to bump along and under any ledges or area that held the bigger fish and handled doubles easily.
There’s a bit about them so I could use them...
Hit the older ttld sm and totally underrated rod will cast 5oz with ease and 6with a smooth style. Over clean and slightly mixed ground they will tame most we have in our seas. Had hounds over 13lb on them and never broke a sweat. Being light and thin they were my go to bass rod if I needed to...
90% of the time unless there is a strong wind along the beach I fish my rest parallel to the sea. The only times I don’t are places like Cogden and when fishing for flats I just find fishing it like a quiver tip works for me with small drop backs etc
So basically on your rod you want a bellend? There’s the reason I would never use one be to many comments about there being a bellend at both ends.😂 so in short don’t do it !!!
Snap but like everything they have their uses especially where I fish and to be fair not seen a drop off in numbers lost if anything I’ve landed a better percentage negating the risk of catching into the reef and no deep hooked fish. But if it’s for silver carp sorry bass shove a pennel on...
Use dongles a lot for my hound and ray fishing adjusting the single length accordingly for bait used eg 6cm for crab baits 10-12cm for squid and fish baits. On the reefs I find it prevents getting caught on the snags. One thing to remember is if you get a screamer don’t strike just point...
Def quality casts well strong as but a good diameter so its not getting caught in the tide. Got to admit it’s probably my go to line. Was using it on the shallow reefs up the channel over the summer catching hounds to 15 and it never missed a beat.
Noticed the decline in the numbers over the years down Chesil and I think now a lot of the reasons I go there are just for the memory. The money I’ve spent on bait fuel and parking along there just don’t warrant so many visits. I tend to cherry pick a few tides and if conditions are favourable I...
It’s not cheap but 3 /4 fill ups per spool the .35 is rated 34lb bs so can take a bit of stick I’ve used it out on the reefs this year and had no issues.
Probably have comments but I’ve been using the trabbuco master cast in yellow .35 diameter up the bc and and can’t fault it tough as but casts and sits well on my multiplier’s.
